Studio 2024 Freelance - Not Launching / Unable to Deactivate License

Studio 2024 Freelance will not start. I cannot deactivate the license, and therefore I am unable to reinstall or use Studio 2024.

1. When I click the TRADOS icon on my Windows desktop, four or five message windows appear, and then the program closes. In other words, Studio 2024 does not start.

2. I tried running “Repair” for 2024, but this did not resolve the issue.

3. I decided to reinstall the program and, by email, asked for instructions on how to deactivate the license. However, the instructions provided in the reply were insufficient, and I am unable to deactivate the license.

4. Specifically, on the [LICENSE & SUBSCRIPTIONS] screen, I selected [Can't deactivate online? – Deactivate offline].

5. This brought me to the [Offline Deactivation Certificate] screen. However, as the reply email contained no detailed steps for the next actions, I do not know what I am supposed to do on this screen.

6. For reference, I also clicked [RWS Licensing Help] on the above screen and followed the steps shown, reaching the [Welcome to the SDL Licensing Help] screen. I clicked [How to Deactivate Your Product Offline] and selected the step reading “4. Follow the instructions to obtain a deactivation authorization for your SDL product”, I could not determine where or what “the instructions” referred to, and was therefore unable to complete the deactivation process.
