License activation error: Sdl.Desktop.Platform.Services.ITelemetryService

Hi, I'm a professor teaching a CAT tools course. One of my students got a new computer and needs to deactivate the license on her previous PC and activate it on the new one. But she kept receiving the error below, even after we've waited for over 30 minutes for the activation. Please help. 

Error message with red cross icon stating 'The requested service is not available: Sdl.Desktop.Platform.Services.ITelemetryService.' Options include 'Knowledge Base,' 'Community,' and 'OK.'

    What Windows does the student have on the new computer? From what I can see on the account you are linked to, the University has Trados Studio Professional 2019.

    It might have issues because Trados 2019 is not supported on Win11 - but she can try this workaround if she has Windows 11:

    In Windows search bar type "Device Manager" and open it and then go to: Network Adapters - Action - Add Legacy Hardware - Install the hardware that I manually select from a list - Network adapters - Choose a network adapter (Microsoft > Microsoft KM -Test).

    Then try again offline activation.
