Hello Trados / RWS Support Team,
I hope you are well. I am writing regarding a problem activating my Trados Studio 2019 Freelance license on a new laptop. I have tried various methods but continually receive an error.Issue Details
Error displayed:
“Deactivation failed. Could not connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings. – The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.”
Product version: Trados Studio 2019 Freelance
License / activation status: Previously used on an old laptop. I have already transferred/imported my work, but I cannot deactivate or activate the license on the new machine.
Attempts already made:
• Tried online deactivation on old machine (didn’t succeed)
• Tried activating on new laptop (receives 403 Forbidden)
• Checked internet connectivity, firewall, administrator permissions
• Checked provider / activation server settings, as described in Trados online support resources What I Need
Guidance on how to reset or transfer the license in this situation
If offline deactivation or self-service license reset is possible, instructions to generate or submit the Installation ID / locking code
