cannot activate TS 2022 Freelance with TS 2024 Plus on same Windows PC

I upgraded from 2022 to 2024 with the option to use one or the other. They're both on the same PC. 2024 woeks fine. When I open 2022, I'm asked to activate. When I so and I insert the 2024 activation code, I get the 82778310 error code. Apparently 2022 refers to its original activation code and isn't linked to the new code. How can we fix this please?

  • Thank you for your suggestion. I'm using Trados 2022 SR2 - Build 17.2.12.19268 but I still get the License Expired window and the option to activate even after a reboot of the whole system.

  • In the article it is mentioned :If your Trados Studio 2022 will launch in Trial mode (it will happen if you install the software for the first time on a computer) it will pick-up the licensing from Studio 2024 only after the Trial period expires. This will happen automatically and no further steps are required. The Trial version is equivalent, in terms of options and features, with a full Professional license.

Can you share the screenshot from Trados 2022 of that window? Is it in trial mode? If yes, then as mentioned above and in the article, that may happen.

    Kind regards,

  • It isn't in Trial mode. Some time back, I uninstalled 2022 and reinstalled it. Although it's in French, you'll recognise the words which are practically the same as in English
