Could someone help me what to do with this message popped up when I tried to upgrade Trados Studio professional 2022 ?
Do I need to deactivate from Trados ?
It says 'return' does it mean I get a new license key?

Yes, you need to deactivate Trados 2021 from Trados, Help - Product activation and then proceed with the upgrade.
You will receive a new code for Trados 2022 once you finish processing your upgrade.

I see some people are having issues to upgrade from 2022 to 2024.
Is it a common issue ? Was it resolved ? As I need to translate lots of files with a tight time schedule, I would like to know how quick a issue would be resolved.

Are you having issues with your upgrade to Trados 2024 specifically? There is only one upgrade in your account.
What you are reading in the Community are individual cases and cannot be generalised to every upgrade. There is no general issue with upgrading from Trados 2022.
