Selling an existing license

Due to a career change, I'm considering selling my Trados Studio 2021 license that I haven't used for the past three years.

Is it possible to do it? If so, how should I proceed?

Thanks in advance to whoever will reply.

  • Hi

We do not have an official process for this, so you'll have to manage it by yourself. These are the steps you need to follow:

    1. identify who you wish to sell it to and agree the price between yourselves. Please make sure it's a trustworthy person. RWS is not in any way in charge of this process and cannot be made liable in case your transaction doesn't go as planned.
    2. add them as a user on your account and make them an admin
    3. they will then edit the account details with their own personal information, change the password and remove you
    4. finally they will need to raise a support request (in the licensing and installation forum) and ask for the Language Cloud account to be changed.  This should be accompanied by a signed letter from you to ensure we have some documentation that confirms this is correct.

So it's mostly something you have to arrange and manage.  We don't operate a second hand software shop.

    Kind regards,
