Hi All,
from yesterday Studio 2024 Freelance Subscription doesn't work anymore. When I lauch it, some windows appear but the program doesn't open.
I followed your instructions, but couldn't solve the problem. Now I'm trying to deactivate my license in order to activate it on another PC, but I no longer see licenses on my account. The current license shoud expire next March!
Here are your instructions, which unfortunately didn't work.
Hello Raffaella,
It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with Trados Studio 2024 not loading properly. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
**Step 1:** **Run as Administrator**
- Right-click on the Trados Studio icon and select "Run as administrator." This can sometimes resolve permission-related issues.
**Step 2:** **Check for Updates**
- Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and then selecting "Check for updates." Install any updates found and restart your computer.
**Step 3:** **Repair Installation**
- If the issue persists, consider performing a repair installation of Trados Studio. Close all RWS applications, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, select Trados Studio, and choose the "Repair" option.
**Step 4:** **Check .NET Framework**
- Verify that you have the .NET Framework 4.7.2 (or later) installed, as it is required for Trados Studio. You can check this in the Control Panel under Programs and Features.
**Step 5:** **Reset Settings**
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you can reset Trados Studio to its default settings. Close all RWS applications, navigate to `C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\`, and rename the 'Studio17' folder to 'Studio17_old'. Then restart Trados Studio.
**Step 6:** **Check Disk Space**
- Since you mentioned that your disk was quite full, ensure that you have sufficient free space on your disk, as this can affect the loading of applications.
Kind regards,
raffaella
