My trial period for Trados Studio 2024 elapsed. Now my client has provided me an activation code, but it doesn't work. What can I do?

yes, they confirmed that the activation code should be valid.
I get an error message, when I press activate.
The message is:
invalid Product Key. Make sure that the Product Key belongs to the intended product or product version. Error ID: 82778310. Open connection settings?
The error message is clear, as is Error ID: 82778310. The key you are using doesn't match the version of Trados Studio you are trying to apply it to. You will have to go back to your client and make sure you know what version of Trados Studio it is intended for and that you are correctly attempting to apply it.
