I plan to set up a new computer. How do I proceed to use sdl trados studio 2014 freelance on my new computer? Do I have to deactivate the licence on the old one and then reactivate it on the new one?

Hi Dina, 
 Exactly. Just deactivate your license, then install Studio on the new computer and activate it. Simple as that. If you do have any problems and need to reset your license you can also do this yourself. You can reset your own license by using the Self Service option in your MySDL account for SDL Trados 2011 and SDL Trados Studio 2014. 
 Go to KB article #5196 and follow the instructions.
