Error: Only deployed entitlement line item can be fulfilled. # 9323-0510321 (Error code 50040)

Question

I have recently set up my laptop from scratch and have reinstalled all my SDL applications. Now, everytime I try to open the Trados Workbench, the program asks for activation at the end of which I receive the following message: Only deployed entitlement line item can be fulfilled. # 9323-0510321 (Error code 50040)
The program runs in demo mode (and is thus useless to me) and the Licence Manager shows that I have two trial licences (??!?) one of which has expired a few days ago.
How do I get this changed to a permanent licence so I can work with the product again?

Hi Kristin, 
 I guess you didn't return the license first, so you need to force return it which you can do yourself. You can reset your own license by using the Self Service option in your MySDL account for SDL Trados 2007 and SDL Trados Studio 2009. 
 Go to KB article #4295 and follow the instructions.
