uprade 2014 freelance to 2015 freelance plus

Question

i recently bought an upgrade from studio 2014 freelance to studio 2015 freelance plus. i downloaded the exe.file, but i didn't yet execute it, because i will switch to a new computer shortly. was this the right thing to do or do a have proceed differently? thanks for any help.

Sounds good to me. You can actually run the exe as often as you like and it'll be fine, it's the license that you have to be aware of. If you want to start using Studio 2015 now then you can install it on your old computer and license it, but do not deactivate 2014 unless you don't care whether you can use it again or not. Because you upgraded you are really swapping 2014 for 2015 so once you deactivate 2014 you won't be able to reactivate it. 
 
Then when you switch to your new computer just deactivate the 2015 license and then reactivate on the new computer. 
 
If you want to be able to use 2014 on the new computer as well then don't process your new license yet. Wait until you have switched and then do this: 
 
1. Deactivate the 2014 license on the old computer 
2. Install 2014 and activate it on the new computer 
3. Install 2015 on the new computer 
4. Process your upgrade to get the new 2015 license 
5. Activate the 2015 license 
6. DO NOT deactivate the 2014 license at all on the new machine. Once you do it will now be gone.
