Hi Everyone! I took my computer for maintenance and was advised to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. My doubt is: Will I be able to download licences again once the whole system will be changed? If it were just maintenance I know that I would not need any specific permissions for downloading licences, but it this case. Upgrading a Windows installation to Windows 10 wipes the SDL license information as does a fresh OS install.
You should therefore return your Studio license from within Windows 7 before doing the upgrade. This will release your license code so that you can use it again to activate Studio on Windows 10.
If it is not possible anymore to launch Studio under Windows 7, you 'll need to have your license reset. If it is Studio 2014 or earlier, you can do this yourself using the self-service reset function in your customer account.
