Computer crached and not able to get license back

Hi

My PC crashed and I have got a new one.

I reinstallede Trados and is currenty on a trail license and want to install the licence for "SDL Trados Studio 2014 Professional (Single-user)". I'm not able to do that as the "SDL Account" states that I have 1 licen iin use and none available.

I have read some post (e.g. http://kb.sdl.com/kb/?ArticleId=5196#tab:homeTab:crumb:7:artId:5196) but "Return Licence" is not available for me.

How do I get my license back

    If you can't reset your own license by using the Self Service option explained in KB article #5196 ( kb.sdl.com/.../article ) then you should log a support case. For licensing or installation issues that prevent you from working we have a route for all customers to get help. This can be achieved really quickly using this link:

    Just fill in the form and submit it. If you can, use the Chrome browser to log the case, you'll get more success in completing the form, and make sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.

    I'm in the same situation, except I'm working with Studio 2015 Freelance Plus. The link you mention (support.xl8) does not work for me. I have tried the solution finder in the Knowledge Base, but it just offers instructions on returning a licence for a product installed on a PC that still works. The PC on which my licence was activated is dead. I have successfully activated SDL Trados Studio 2015 on my new PC by using my additional activation, but that means I won't be able to install it on a laptop in future, so I need to return my original activation.

    The instructions are for exactly your situation, but they are not helpful for Studio 2015 I'm afraid so the only way is to log a case. Seeing as you also have problems with this too I have just reset your license to save wasting any more time.
