Upgraded from starter to freelance but has not worked - not sure if licensing issue

I was working with the Trados Studio 2015 Starter version and attempted to upgrade to Trados Studio 2015 Freelance. When I downloaded and installed the new software, it did not attempt to open. I went to open Trados as normal and enter my new activation code but received an error message (0 activations left or something along those lines) and on my SDL account my new freelance license showed as in use and 0 available.

I deactivated my old starter version license as I thought that this might be the problem and opened Trados but there has been no upgrade but if I go to the help section and to product activation, it shows my new freelance license as the active license in use. All I want to do is start using my new software! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
