Licence reset

Hi,

My system crashed and I had to reinstall Windows 10 without deactivating my licence for Trados Studio 2015 Freelance Plus. As I have 2 licences, I deactivated the other one (on my desktop PC) in order to activate the one not working on my laptop. Anyway, how can I get one licence back as only one is used? Can you reset it please?

Regards.

  • Hi Thierry,

You have a different problem as you have Trados 2007... yours is easier because you can resolve it yourself.  You can reset your own license by using the Self Service option in your MySDL account for SDL Trados 2007 and SDL Trados Studio 2009.

Go to KB article #4295 ( ) and follow the instructions.

Wrt to whether it will work with W10... I have absolutely no idea!  I reckon Workbench and tagEditor "may" be ok, but unless you have an old 32-bit edition of Word then translating in Word won't be possible at all.

The Trados 2007 TMs are all usable in Studio.  You just have to upgrade them.  There's an old video here that explains how to do this:
