Error message "An error occurred while retrieving your licence" on opening Studio 2014

Question

Hello everybody,
This morning I opened Studio 2014 as usual, but I received an error message that says "An error occurred while retrieving your licence", and the program did not start.
I also tried to deactivate the licence, but I got another error message, saying that the service was missing or the licence is not current.
So I am asking if anyone has a suggestion on what I am supposed to do to solve this problem. I already logged a case, but since I am in quite a hurry, I would like to know if anyone has a suggestion...

Hi Annalisa, 
 
 As I can see from your account, you have had Studio 2014 installed for quite a while which suggests a corrupted license due to either a Windows and or AV update. 
 Please locate your Windows Control Panel/Programs and Features/ SDL Studio 2014 - then right click and run repair as administrator. 
 If this does not work please let me know -

I had this error today too when starting SDL Studio from the taskbar in Windows 10. 
 I do not have the option "Run repair as administrator" when right clicking on SDL Studio 2014 from the program list, but I chose "Run as administrator" and this fixed the problem.
