SDLXLIFF file association

Question

Hi everybody, 
 I have a problem with SDLXLIFF file association after installation the new SDL Trados Studio 2017 and removal 2015. 
 
 I also have read the article in KB https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0028730 
 But after restoration of build on my PC the problem remains yet. Double-clicking SDLXLIFF failed. 
 Is there are some other ways to repair the file association? My PC generates the same error "It is impossible to run the application (ed. SDL Trados Studio) on your PC". Any ideas how to repair?

The 3rd solution helped.

As I got to know the problem was that after removal of SDL Trados Studio 2015 from my PC, the registry values were also removed or damaged. That causes failing of SDLXLIFF files association with SDL Trados Studio 2017 installed in parallel to 2015.

I have done the following:

1. Removal of SDL Trados Studio 2017 in the Control Panel. See. SDL Trados Studio 2017 - Remove suite of products.

2. Cleaning of registry errors with CCleaner (or Auslogics Registry Cleaner which may be extra tool). I did this step two or three times to repair fully all errors.

3. Restart of PC.

4. Cleaning of registry errors with CCleaner as in step 2.

5. Installation of SDL Trados Studio 2017.

Thereafter I succeeded in opening by double-clicking on SDLXLIFF files.
