The translation memory C;UsersMingDesktopTT-2016comm en-my-Thean3.tmw cannot be accessed because it uses languages which were not selected during installation

My TM workbench has been working all along in my Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10.  I use Surface when I am overseas.  A few days ago I need to use it, but I could not access my TM due to reason mentioned above.  I downloaded Trados 2007 and reinstalled.  I retruned all my licences (2), and activate it online.  I repeated this process:  return then activate online.  But same result: failed.

Why it worked before (a few months ago) and it does not work now?

The only cause I could give or the only changes I made in my Surface was:  a few day ago, Widowns 10 prompted me on screen:  You Surface has not been updated for a long time,  please turn off your computer and update.  I did.  The update took quite a while to complete.

Result:  My TM workbench was not accessable, even though I unisntalled and reinstalled Trados a few time by entering my 3 languages:  Chinese, Malay & Indonesian.

I hope someone in the Community who experienced this, would be able to help me out.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Ming,

It sounds as though you selected different languages to the ones in your TM. Maybe uninstall and reinstall to reselect the right languages? If you need to reset your licence you can do that yourself. Use the Self Service option in your MySDL account for SDL Trados 2007.

Go to KB article #4295 ( kb.sdl.com/.../article ) and follow the instructions.

    Regards
