Studio 2017 Professional (Single User) license deactivation and reactivation

I just purchased a Studio 2017 professional license. I would like to know whether I can deactivate the license on my computer at work and reactivate it on my laptop at home? Is this a quick and painless process or do I need the Network version of the product to be able to do this on a regular basis? I create and assign packages as a part of my job so using the Freelance version is not an option. I'd like to know the difference between the two in terms of ease of license deactivation/reactivation, though. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Hello Hadi,

I can see you have a single user PRO version.

You can INSTALL the software on TWO PC's but only have one active at any time.

Therefore you will need to deactivate on the one machine first- wait ca. 20-30 minutes before activating on the second machine.

Please remember if you forget to deactivate- you cannot do this remotely with single user licenses.

You absolutely do NOT need a network license- this is usually for multiple users in multiple time zones when full control is needed on the active users.

If you are working alone a Network license is most definitely over the top.
