Exclude Segments from QA Check - unclear what is excluded from which check

As discussed in this thread (https://community.sdl.com/product-groups/translationproductivity/f/studio/26158/segments-excluded-from-qa-are-still-checked-by-regular-expressions/81377) it is unclear which types of exclusion (string based vs. others) exclude the segments from which type of check.
