Activating a Google Translate Premium API in Studio 2015

Hello,

I searched for this topic but couldn't find a clear answer so I'm creating another post.

I was approved to use the Google Translate Premium API on a two-month trial.

Since getting the notification from Google, I have gone to Google Console and generated an API.

However, in Studio 2015 using that API as a TM resource still only generates "Standard" Google results, the neural network Premium results.

I tried following the instructions given by google but it got very code-y, real quick. I'm not familiar with code.

I talked to Google back and forth and they said it was a Trados issue. I contacted my Trados sales representative, and he could only recommend me to ask here.

So, could anyone explain what this means and possibly assist me so I can try using the Premium in Trados?

"You need to pass a 'model' parameter set to 'nmt' within the request. You may pass this model parameter either as a GET query parameter, or as a field within a JSON POST request."

Full instructions can be found here:

https://cloud.google.com/translate/docs/premium#using_the_premium_edition

After I sent Google this information:

http://producthelp.sdl.com/sdl_trados_studio_2015/client_en/About/About_the_Google_Translation_Provider.htm

they replied with:

"It seems that the software only allows adding an API key. This means that the actual interfacing with Cloud Translate API is done inside the software. In this case, you may want to contact their support as the changes need to be done by their developers in order for their software to translate using the Cloud Translation Premium Edition."

Any assistance or clear answers would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Best regards,

Keenan
