Number Verifier not identifying alphanumeric strings correctly?

Question

I am trying to run a number verification on the file in the screenshot, but the incorrect alphanumeric string in the 1st segment is not flagged at all. The strange thing is that if I make changes to any of the other alphanumeric strings in this file, Number Verifier does report them 
 Is there perhaps something preventing Number Verifier from recognizing this specific alphanumeric string as being alphanumeric? Is this a bug in the tool? We have many clients that use product/model numbers like these, and it is crucial we get them correct in translation, so it would be great if we could verify them using the Number verifier

 I think I'd check the settings because this works fine for me. I turned off all verification apart from the number verifier and ran a check. Every segment was correctly picked up:

 Perhaps you can use Studio for this? For example, this rule catches it correctly: 
 
 I don't know if you have enough consistency in the alphanumerics to write rules for them all but perhaps it would help for the time being? 
 I am quite surprised that Studio doesn't recognise incorrectly entered alphanumerics anyway seeing as they are recognised but perhaps this is one for product management to look at.
