Problems with the app "Apply Studio Project Template" in SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1

We have encountered a problem with the app "Apply Studio Project Template" in SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1. For some reason the settings configured in a given project template that you want to apply to projects can only be applied to ONE project at a time. If you select more than one project in the Project View, the project template settings are NOT applied to ANY of the selected projects. In SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR3, this was not a problem at all. Furthermore, in SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1, in the dropdown list "Apply this template", an * is now shown before the name of some of the project templates in the list, and it's not possible to delete any of these project templates from the list, even if the project templates don't exist any longer. Has anybody else come across the same problems?

This is working fine for me.  Perhaps make sure you have the latest version of the plugin from the AppStore, should be version 4.1.  If it's still not working can you advise what you are trying to apply?  Maybe there is a specific problem somewhere.

The star is because it's a template that's in your list of templates in File -> Setup -> Project Templates.  If templates don't exist anymore they should be removed automatically by the app.  This is a change in version 4.1 so either you don't have the latest version or it's broken.

  • Hi Paul, thanks a lot for your response. For some unexplainable reason, it wasn't the lastest version of the plugin that was installed on our computers, even though it was the lastest version we had downloaded from the AppStore. I have now uninstalled the plugin via SDL Plugin Management and then downloaded and installed version 4.1 of the plugin. :-) Thanks for your help.
