Pre-translate using DeepL stuck at 85%

I've recently installed the latest version of the DeepL Pro plugin and added it to my TMs in Project Setting with the API key. And the plugin appears to be working since it shows translation results for individual segments.

The problem is I cannot pre-translate my document. The task gets stuck at 85% and stays there. Is this an issue with DeepL?? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi

The problem is not with the plugin. The problem now is with Studio itself and DeepL. We don’t notice this with other providers because they don’t fail in the way DeepL does, so if DeepL fixed their issues (which they know about) then you would not see this problem that is caused by Studio.

Two things need to happen to resolve this for you.

    1. If DeepL fixed their issues then this situation would not occur in the first place, OR
    2. If we fixed the core Studio product then the situation would not occur because we would not behave this way if DeepL failed.

Neither of these things can be fixed by the AppStore Team. Both of these things have been reported and logged by the respective teams. I can’t give you any estimate of how long it will take to resolve either of them. The Studio problem only affects DeepL as far as we can see since we have not seen another provider failing in the way DeepL does so this will not raise the priority for fixing in Studio as they have many other things to do that are considered more important and affecting many more users.

I’m afraid I can’t give you any more information than that. We have logged both problems with the right teams, each team is aware of the problems, each team will plan the fixes accordingly.
