The Microsoft Office Update Curse strikes again. After the latest update (to Publisher version 1905), when I try to export or import any file (even the pub2xml sample file), I get an error message "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component"
I tried the same .pub files on a machine that runs an older version of MS Publisher, and the process works correctly there.

I have only ever been able to find ONE similar innstance of this error for Studio users and the fix was due to machine settings and not Studio itself.
Therefore please deactivate Studio and remove this and MultiTerm from your system completely.
Now run a full Windows repair -you must have at least Windows 7 (latest updates) installed.- Prefearbly though Windows 8.1 or higher.
And update your .net framework- you need at least .net 4.7.2 to run the latest versions of Studio.
Does the problem still persist?
