We have received several complaints from post-editors who said that the translation generated through the DeepL Studio plugin was not compliant with the Portuguese variant of the project (they found PT-PT translations in PT-BR Studio projects but also the opposite, they found PT-BR translations in PT-PT Studio projects). When we test directly on the DeepL portal (without using Studio), the correct language variant is used.
We got in touch with DeepL regarding this and they said that the plugin developer should work on this. Is it possible that, since DeepL has released PTpt and PTbr as new languages you did not update your DeepL plugin correctly ?
Please check this link showing the DeepL API parameters: https://www.deepl.com/docs-api/translating-text/request/
Can you check which parameter you are using for the target language when:
1) the project has PTpt as target language
2) the project has PTbr as target language
thanks Gaetano
