Error: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt when trying to generate a quote with SDL StudioInQuote

Hi everyone!

I work with Studio 2017 SR1. I have just installed the SDL StudioInQuote (version 1.1 (2015, 2017)). Studio is installed locally on my machine. Translation projects are located on a server. When I specify the path to a project for which I want to generate a quote, add all other information required by the plug-in, and then click Generate Quote the above error message shows up. I also created projects and saved them locally but the error message persisted. Could anyone tell me a possible solution please?

Thanks!

  • Hello

Could you please post the full error stack as this may contain useful information as I'm unable to reproduce this issue.

It might also be helpful, if you remove the plugin and reinstall in Locations- All Your Domain Computers

Hello Steven, thanks for the quick reply. As a matter of fact, the first time I installed the plug-in I selected the All Your Domain Computers option as a location. I still got the error. Only then did I reinstall the plug on to my own machine. As for the full error stack, I can't figure out how to attach a file to this post. Please help.

  • Hello ,

Our team have taken a look at this and are unable to reproduce with Studio 2017

We have also tested this on Studio 2019 and Studio 2021 environments without any issues.

As we are only able to maintain apps for supported versions (2019/2021), should you upgrade your Studio version and have similar issues, please let us know, and we can investigate further for you.
