I have looked at all the plugins and they install into the correct version on my machine.

Perhaps its worth removing the plugins from plugin folder manually and try installing the latest version.

Perhaps Angela Sigee can advise on the release of a Trados Studio 2021 version.

Sorry for the confusion. I wasn't able to debug/test it under 2021 conditions because I only have a demo version of Studio 2021 installed which has expired. I could upgrade my license but would loose 2019. 

Hence, I didn't release the version for 2021. I could send you the 2021 version privately but of couse it is unsigned (you would have to live with the warning) and - as I said - I wasn't able to test it. (Frankly, you probably would be fine. It is the same code for all versions and my estimate is that it works for 2021 as for the earlier Studio versions ).

I  can't do anything about the installer hickup (outside my code) and you probably discovered a real bug. It is tough to plan ahead for all eventualities and a partial release.with the most current version missing is unexpected.

FYI: if you purchase an upgrade from 2019 to 2021, you normally get a 2021 license with "Allow Studio 2019 - Add-on", which means that you can use the license both for 2021 and 2019. In order for this to work, the installed 2019 must be the latest version (or at least CU7). You then need to deactivate 2019 in order to upgrade the license and after you activated 2021 with the new license code, both versions will be activated. 
I would appreciate to test v 1.6 in Studio 2021. You can upload the file here. 

The issue with Studio 2021 suggesting to install v 1.6 although it is not released for 2021 can be avoided by checking the version compatibility. I don't know the details of the coding, but it is documented. In fact, this works if one tries to install v 1.6 using the Plugin Installer: it will grey out Studio 2021.

I am a very common Studio user, but I believe that I repeatedly read that if you want to use side by side S2019 and S2021, you should not de-activate S2019 before installing S2021. Right, ?

It depends on the license. If you purchased an upgrade, which is the case I referred to, you need to deactivate your 2019 license before you can upgrade the license in your customer account. You will not be able to carry out the upgrade in your customer account as long as you have not deactivated your copy of 2019.

re checking the version compatibility: I'm prety sure I've done that (and I've been requested to amend in the past after uploading the plugin if I forgot). Anyway, the plugins show up to be compatible to only one specific version each on my computer, just as they should.

I ran some tests with v 1.6 in Studio 2021 (mainly the functions "Highlight" and "Lookup") and everything seems to work fine. 

The only still missing thing is the "unsigned warning":

For the "unsigned warning" to disappear I need to upload the plugin to the AppStore so it can be signed. I will do this now as your tests indicate that it will behave as in earlier versions.

I can't find the signed version of your plugin that you promised in the AppStore.
Also, I am a bit confused looking at your version numbers:

The version for Studio 2021 has a lower version number than the one for Studio 2019. 

We would really appreciate to have a version for Studio 2021 that does not trigger an "unsigned plugin warning" every time we launch Studio.
