This is probably for two reasons:

1. Czech wasn't supported when the plugin for 2017 was developed
2. the ability to dynamically accept new languages in the plugin wasn't available when the plugin for 2017 was developed because the DeepL API didn't support it back then

Unfortunately now your problem is that we don't support the 2017 version of the plugin anymore.  So your options are these:

1. upgrade to Trados Studio 2021 and use the latest version of the plugin, or
2. make the changes to the 2017 version of the plugin yourself.  The source code is here:

thank you so much for your aswer! I would go for option 2, if I were more skilful. So I think I'll chose option 1 in the end. Would you recommend Trados 2021, is, in general, the upgrade worth it?

Like anything I think you need to weigh up what's in it and see whether it's offering you features that when you read about them are things you'd like to see.  In general I think the move from 2017 to 2021 is definitely significant and worth doing, and more specifically from my own perspective I do think it's worth always upgrading to the latest version.
