Can you provide the files so we can test?  We can only look to resolve this in 2021 and with the current version of the app.  But perhaps once we figure out why the problem occurs it will help you.  You can send the files to pfilkin@rws.com

Good to determine where you added the filetype.

1. was it in the project settings after the project was already created?  Too late in this case.
2. was it in the default project template before you create the project and did you use this project template to create your project?

Hi. I cancelled the project creation wizard, added the file type in the general options, closed and restarted Studio, and then restarted project creation from scratch. Where did I go wrong? Thanks

I was just contacted by Paul Filkin who promptly suggested a solution. I hope this will help other people who are facing the same problem.

During the project creation process, I was using a previously created template, which did not include the Transit File type. That was the problem.

So Paul instructed me to select File>Setup>Project Templates

Then I selected the template I needed > Edit and under File Types I saw "Additional File Types exist", so I selected the Transit File Types there too, and that did the trick. Simple as that.
