I have received plugin files from my professor at NYU with permission from the institution. However, I am not able to install them as I do not have the installer. I was given a temporary license number and am able to use Trados Studio 2019 in other ways but am not sure how to obtain files for installation from the RWS App Store.
Hi Ana Bravo, yes I understand you would have been loaned a license from NYU and therefore direct access to https://appstore.sdl.com/ could be restricted. Perhaps I fail to fully understand but if you received plugin files from your professor then they themselves are the installer. They often have a *.sdlplugin extension. See below. 
If you have something similar - then all you need to do is click to install and for the most part, fall part of the Studio UI (with a few exceptions were some apps run externally)
If you were given a list of apps you need, let me know and I will find a way to get them to you
