Can you please check your  DeepL version of the plugin you have installed?

The latest you can see and download ideally is from the integrated AppStore, at the top left corner int he software.

So I would advise removing the current one, still from the integrated AppStore, and install it again.

Please remove all plugins and add them one by one and check with each. Make sure you add them always from the integrated appstore.

Also please use the same plugins with a different project.

From my side, I tried combination of various providers, including DeepL and MT Compare and can´t recreate the issue. 

Can you please check and share what other polugins you have installed, maybe this can shed a light ?

I removed all plugins in AppData > Roaming > SDL > SDL Trados Studio > 16 > Plugins > Packages.

However, at startup:

"Trados Studio has detected an unsigned plug-in that wants to load. 'Sdl.Community.DeepLMTProvider.plugin.xml' has been created by a third-party and has not been validated."

allowing the loading enables DeepLM in old projects that were setup to use it. Hower, newly adding DeepLMT to any project causes this error.

Windows Explorer search in the C: drive does not find the plugin.xml that studio appears to be able to load - that perhaps needs to be removed?

This is a clear indication you have not cleared out the plugins properly.  Certainly removing the packages folder only is not enough as the original has already been unpacked and will still be present.  To remove your plugins... please close Trados Studio, delete these folders, restart Trados Studio and then reinstall your apps using the integrated appstore:

 c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins

 c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins

 c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins

I'd recommend you don't reinstall any plugins you already have.  Make sure you download the latest ones for 2021 SR2 via the appstore integration.  On this occasion please be careful when you do this because there is a bug that will crash Studio (will be fixed shortly in an update) but you can avoid it by only using these buttons to install:

unfortunately this does not solve the problem.  I had already removed the plugins from the Packages and Unpacked folders and now removing theses folders did not make the difference you expected - At startup studio still detects and wants to load Sdl.Community.DeepLMTProvider.plugin.xml

I took the MTcomparison and the DeepLMTProvider plugins directly from the app store and they installed without any problem.
