Furthermore I want to know if the anonymizer also works, I notice on a friend's device that when he anoymized the file as a result the layout of both the Source and Target where changed, and the client got mad. Yes it does, if you download and install the DeepL plugin from the appstore.

This sounds as though your friend didn't know how the app works or that when sending the file back to your client you must run the batch task to remove the anonymisation. Anonymisation is achieved by converting the text to a tag so this will obviously add tags into the file, both for source and target. This is only done to anonymize the file while it's being translated. Once successfully finished you must remove the anonymization.

thank you for your answer, what he actually does, he pretranslates the whole text in SDL and then he anonymizes the file at the end before sending it, and when he opened the file again in sdl (I was there), the line interruptions in the source and target were different. I mean running the anonmyzer messed up the whole document. It was an InDesing file and it changed not only the target but also the Source, what should you do instead in order to avoid that? Well... screenshots you can simply copy paste directly into here as you would in a word document for example. No need to attach them.
Any files... just zip them up into a single file (just easier to have a single file) and then use the "Insert" menu as shown below:

- Screenshots of Source (but this also applies to Target) before and after using the anonymizer
- I tried to attach the InDesign file but even thought it uploads it, nothing happens
- Anonymization rules: Translation origin: Anonymize machine translation only – Origin system: Anonymize machine translation only. The other options were left unchanged
- Anonymizer for SDL 2017
Can you tell me where I can find a written procedure for the whole process, that is pre-translation to start with and anonymization at the end of the translation?

ok - the rules are not what I was expecting. You seem to be referring to rules for anonymizing a TM and not the project. For example, the rules in here:
