So, in case anyone else experiences this error:
The error seems to be due to an older version of Java. I have a certain version that I use so I can edit WorldServer workflows in my Edge/Chrome browser using an extension that emulates Internet Explorer behavior. This has been a workaround for a couple years now. Apparently, MultiTerm Extract requires a newer version of Java. I downloaded and installed the latest Java version, which allowed MultiTerm Extract to work but broke my solution for editing WorldServer workflows. I was able to fix this by adding the WorldServer URL to the security exception list for Java. I can now run MultiTerm Extract and edit workflows.
