While opening Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.10.9305 and the version before I get a message saying that Subtitling plugin was created by a third party...
I have to click on OK so it will load.
As far as I can see in the plugin installation page, the plugin was created by the Trados AppStore Team...
Can you kindly explain why this is happening and how to avoid this annoying message?
Thank you,
Pierre Souchar
Eleana Gomez
I guess you mean it's an unsigned plugin message? Just checking you don't have something else.
In this case the solution is probably to remove your subtitling plugin from the plugin folders and then reinstall using the integrated appstore. So close Studio and then delete these:
...AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages\Studio Subtitling.sdlplugin
...AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Unpacked\Studio Subtitling\
Restart Studio, install the plugin again (if you want to!) from the integrated appstore. Do not use old plugins you happen to have saved.
Thank you Paul !
I did it and it worked.
But as far as I can remember I upgraded from the integrated App Store.
Best reagrds, and again, thank you for your prompt reply.

Sometimes, and I'm not sure why, updating apps can leave the old unpacked in place and this can cause the message you got. It doesn't always happen and may be related to a specific 2021 version. But the solution is straightforward... so good to see you're sorted!
