Anyway... assuming my assumption is correct the 2021 version will look as though it can be installed into 2022 because the developer has not restricted the plugin from attempting to do this.  However, despite what it tries to do it is actually not possible to install a 2021 plugin into 2022 and all plugins need to be updated by their respective developers if they choose to do so.

Yes, you are right. It is the "Regex Match ..". 

The AppStore does not show it any more. Is there an alternative or any other way to add Regex expressions to the Autosuggest?

1. You can update the plugin yourself as the developer has open sourced the code for the 2019 version: https://github.com/capybara-translation/RegexMatchAutoSuggestProvider_2019

I was wondering if it is possible to allow the current Capybara Regex Match AutoSuggest Provider work with 2022. I believe that the inerworkings of 2022 may not be as different to 2021 as to make this add-on incompatible. Am I in the right path?

of course it can be done. It requires access to the source code and then two things:

1. rebuild against 2022
2. test and fix anything that may need addressing

We have found the source code for all the Capybara plugins on GitHub and plan to update them for 2022.  The work is planned and will probably be addressed on the next weeks.
