Why, and how can I rectify this?
You may have seen the notices that were posted for some months as the AppStore website was not working correctly and we moved all users to what we call a "Private AppStore". We also had to block access to all users and developers from being able to use that part of their account.
Last week (or the week before... can't recall now) we released an updated website that is actually still a work in progress but is now accessible for all users and for all versions. It is already less restrictive in terms of getting access so these problems should be a thing of the past, but we have not put back all apps yet. We are working through them. Some developers have taken the downtime as an opportunity to enhance their apps and will release them when they are ready, others we are still working with to get them back on the store.
Developers cannot publish the apps themselves yet, but this will come in time. For now you need to email app-signing@rws.com and we will do this for you.
You will note many things missing and some things that need correcting in the web appstore but this will come... we have a very long list. Some of our list contains things we have to do to get back to the same functionality we had before for users. Some of it is completely new and will be really good for users and developers. So keep an eye on it, and hopefully enjoy the improvements as they get rolled out.

Thanks for your assistance, Paul! I'm glad the rudimenta of the AppStore are back, and I eagerly await the full-scale development. (I can understand the to do-list is long, considering the many functions in the previous Store. If the non-functioning was not planned, it must have come as a very nasty surprise...)
As for the new version of the manual, it is currently very slow work, particularly since I hope to cover the cloud functionality. Although to be honest, I wonder if the potential sales will be worth the substantial effort. I need to find better methods for marketing (or indeed any methods at all).

Sorry to hear that. I have always liked that you did this because as a single author without the sort of constraints we see in a larger enterprise I think your manual offers tremendous value... at least that would be my personal view. I think your writing style, method of explaining things that can often be complex and confusing, and most importantly the fact you easily pick up on things that need better explanation than our technical writers would has created a manual every Studio user would benefit from owning.
So I hope you manage to find the time and impetus to do it.
