Hello,
I'm unable to add in a subtitle plugin, something like the Subtitle 1.0.0.0 or even the base plugin that should be there as the Sdl.FileTypeSupport.Filters.Subtitles in the Studio 2017 version.
I tried installing a subtitle plugin but they are all either for the 2019 version or the 2021 version.
I'd appreciate your guidance and help with this.

I'm afraid the subtitling plugin that we have is indeed for Studio 2019 onwards and all the available file types for Studio subtitling , including the VTT are compatible with Studio 2019 or higher.
I'm sorry that I don't have other positive answer for you.
If you decide and buy a new license, you will definitely get to benefir from all the options and features of Studio subtitling ;)
