In the presentation of the plugin MS Word Grammar Checker we are advised to use instead "the Language Tool plugin". There are many problems with this.

- The link "Language Tool plugin" in the presentation of the MS Word Grammar Checker does not work. So I looked for "LanguageTool" in the AppStore and found the LanguageTool Grammar and Spell Checker. The following comments pertain to that plugin.

- The Quick Start Guide does not exist

- "Instructions and current user guide are inside the app". No, they are not. The app comes as an sdlplugin file.

- The installation video says that this tool is a standalone program. Yet it comes, as I said, as an sdlplugin file which means it is installed in Studio. On the other hand, the video seems to be very old.

- When I open Verification > Language Tool Settings I get a large number of messages telling me of a number of errors in the installation.

- The LT Help for RWS has two entries. The first one does not work; the second one leads to discussions all of which except two are several years old. The most recent one contains this advice from Jerzy (but Paul's posting there is 4 years old): "Please download the corresponding plugin from within Studio, menu Add-Ins, RWS-Appstore. This is the only way to get LT working in Studio now." This advice, however, only leads to the problems listed above.

The long and short of it is that the Language Tool at least to me is useless.
