You told us nothing about your versions, so maybe start by simply deleting these folders (I'm referring to 2022) and then only install the plugins from the integrated appstore.
%APPDATA%\Trados\Trados Studio\17\Plugins
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Trados\Trados Studio\17\Plugins

Paul,
Appreciate your reply. I use Trados Studio 2021. It must have been your earlier post about the same problem, that helped me circumvent this issue; despite the prompt windows that open I now manage to get it and work.
But I cannot find the Plugins folders in the locations you mentioned, but in different ones in my computer. I am hesitant to delete these, to be honest... I have the MultiTerm ones there as well, and I use them.
Exactly why it helps to always:

For 2021:
%APPDATA%\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins
%LOCALAPPDATA%\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins
c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins
If you can't see these please make sure you are showing your hidden folders. There are no MultiTerm related folders in these locations I have given you.
