Dear community,
I'm currently looking into the Google Cloud Translation API's advanced version, as it offers glossary support (like DeepL Pro) as well as trainable engines, which would be an interesting option for our partners.
From creating an account up to finding where to get the JSON file was a challenge, to say the least, but now I finally made it to Trados.
The Google Translation Provide plugin recognizes the JSON file and I set the missing language codes as instructed, but when I confirm these settings, I get the error message "The translation provider "Google Cloud Translation API" does not support any language pair in this project or project template.", even though the language combinations are available in the API (Tested this both in a DE>EN as well as a EN>IT, PT and ES project).
I haven't created custom models or glossaries yet, as I wanted to get the basics functioning first. Might that be the problem, or am I overlooking something else?
This article mentions something similar, but since it's talking about another plug-in, I'm not sure whether the suggested solution applies to my problem.
Hoping one of you might have the solution. Looking forward to your help!
Kind regards,
Guillaume
