Is there any way in the AppStore to see whether or not plugins involve data leaving your local IT environment?

Following a number of recent questions about plugin use with contacts and colleagues at other authorities throughout the EU, the most common reason cited by those unable to install plugins in Trados or the most significant hurdle to overcome is where plugins need to transmit data outside the local IT environment. Is there any way of telling which plugins transfer data out of the local IT environment or not form the AppStore, e.g. to improve the prospects of being allowed to request the installation of a certain plugin or not?
