You're right, this is an issue that was fixed in the later versions, so I'd recommend using latest Studio version to ensure it works error free. I'm afraid we don't support earlier Studio versions anymore and we won't allocate resources to repair unsupported versions.

Agree with Oana on this completely.  But note that we do opensource the plugin so feel free to make whatever changes you need:

There is no need to rely on us to maintain the plugin as we will only put time and resource into supporting plugins running on supported versions of Trados Studio.

Thank you for your prompt response.

I understand your point and appreciate the clarification. However, as a small Language Service Provider (LSP), the investment in a Professional license is quite significant for us. The price per license, which is around 1,200 EUR, makes the frequent upgrades particularly challenging. The recent offer to upgrade our license was at 760 EUR, more than half the cost of the original license. Unfortunately, under these conditions, we simply cannot afford to upgrade every two years.

We appreciate that the plugin is open source and that we have the option to make the necessary changes ourselves.

Additionally, we are currently unable to upgrade from our 2017 licenses to later versions. If there were an upgrade offer available from your end, we would greatly appreciate it, as otherwise, our three 2017 licenses would become unusable.

2017 is really quite old.  We've had 2019, 2021, 2022 and soon 2024 so this is around probably 6-7-years and the upgrade route isn't there anymore.  Frances Pearn-Rowe may be able to work with you on the upgrade path.
