Issue with Antidote Verifier

Question

Hi all! Since upgrading to Trados Studio 2024, I'm getting this message whenever I try to use the Antidote Verifier plug-in: 
 Could not load file or assembly 'System,Diagnostics.DiagnosticSource, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=cc7b13ffcd2ddd5T or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. 
 I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it a couple times (and restarting Trados everytime), but no luck. Life is tough without this plug-in. Any fix to this?

 I've just released a new version (v.4.0.2.0) with new changes. Please update it and let us know.

Hi Rene Morin , I will make a new version available today that should resolve this issue from your computer. 
 Version 4.0.2.0 Updates Removed the dependency on deprecated assemblies (Serilog, Serilog.Sinks.RollingFile) & replaced with NLog let me know how it goes...

Hi Rene Morin An issue has been raided to look into this (SDLCOM-5984). As this issue was not picked up during our QA (yet oddly you are the second person to raise this issue), I have deactivated Antidote from the AppStore till we know more. Hi Rene Morin , I reviewed this issue with the team this morning. Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce it in my environment. Could you help me by answering a few questions to better understand the potential cause? 
 Questions: 
 1. What version of Antidote software is currently installed on your computer? Note: The latest version is 11 ( www.antidote.info/.../). 
 2. What version of the Trados Studio Antidote Verifier plugin is installed on your computer? You can find this information in the `*.manifest.xml` file, from the unpacked plugins folder: `%APPDATA%\Trados\Trados Studio\18\Plugins\Unpacked\Antidote Verifier\pluginpackage.manifest.xml`. 
 3. Have you followed the same steps I have listed below under "Test Cases - Steps"? 
 
 Test Cases - Steps: 
 a. Install the latest version of Antidote 11 ( https://www.antidote.info/en/) , dated today. 
 b. Install Trados Studio 2024. 
 c. Uninstall any previous versions of the Antidote Verifier plugin from the following folders. Note: Ensure you remove the unpacked folder if the plugin installer did not remove it: 
 Trados Studio 2022

 e. Launch Trados Studio. 
 f. Open a document in the editor (target language: French) and put focus on the first segment. 
 g. Click on 'Antidote Verifier > Connector' in the Review ribbon.

Hi Rene Morin , let's check a few things: 
 Studio has a dependency on version 8.0.0 of this assembly + has a binding redirect in the config file to make sure plugin integrations look for `8.0.0.x` 
 Need to find what is loading this transient reference; might be coming from one of the assembly references of the plugin itself... Serilog? 
 
 Let's try this: 
 1. Can you check if you have that version installed on your system, from here: %userprofile%\.nuget\packages\System.Diagnostics.DiagnosticSource 
 2. If it doesn't exist on your system, install it and try again? Open a cmd as Admin and run the command: nuget install System.Diagnostics.DiagnosticSource -Version 7.0.0.2 3. I'll update the references of the plugin and release another version today; I'll followup once it's available.
