Angelo Caltagirone yes this we are aware of. Same with Qualitivity. In fact I suspect this was an issue in legacy versions as well. We have an item to get this addressed: SDLCOM-6009 for Trados Studio 2024

Ah, that explains why it won't work for me, then, Angelo. I recently installed it for a client that wanted me to work by the hour rather than by the word.

I ended up using the Stopwatch on my phone.

Would have been nice to use an onboard tool that noticed when I stopped and started. I keep forgetting to tap the Stopwatch when I'm called away from the job.

Hi Alison Field , you can still use it.

After you open a file, you need to switch from the Editor to the Studio Time Tracker main view and start it manually:

Then switch back to the Editor view and then you will see that it is running in the Activity Tracker. If you can't see it, you have to activate the Activity Tracker in the View menu in the Editor Ribbon and place it somewhere (I have the Activity tracker left at the bottom).

You need to do this procedure only once per session of Studio.

When you close the file, STT stops automatically giving you a window where you can make some changes (normally you do not need) and restarts automatically when you open a new file. If it is the same project, it adds a new activity to the same project.

Pay attention: if you stop STT before closing the file, you need to start it manually, but form the Editor view, no need to switch to the Studio Time Tracker view (I hope it is not too confiusing).

Is it really SO difficult to fix this bug? It is already 5 months!?! that we are waiting for it. The version for Studio 2022 works well, why is it so difficult to fix this one. It would be great to get an answer to that. We use this plugin all day.
