I had been using GT in Studio 2024, but had to get a new motherboard for laptop and now I can't get the plugin I had used before, even though a colleague is still able to use it.
Is there any workaround?
Thanks

Your colleague must be using an older version of Trados Studio as we have not released the 2024 version yet. It will, all being well, get released tomorrow. We have been making some substantial changes to this version so it properly supports all the various custom models and capabilities available with Google these days.
If you're in a real hurry you could use the Beta version that was released under a private appstore in this post: UPDATE: Google Cloud Translation Provider
Otherwise tomorrow is your best bet.

Hello,
I understand that you're having trouble using the Google Translate plugin in Trados Studio 2024 after changing your laptop's motherboard. Don't worry, I'm here to help!
The Google Cloud Translation API option has been removed from Trados Studio 2021, but it's still available through the MT Enhanced Plugin. Here's how you can install and use it:
Step 1: Visit the RWS AppStore and search for the MT Enhanced Plugin.
Step 2: Download and install the plugin.
Step 3: Restart Trados Studio after the installation.
Step 4: After restarting, go to Project Settings.
Step 5: Choose the option MT Enhanced Trados Plugin.
Step 6: From the MT Enhanced Trados Plugin options, choose Google Translate.
Step 7: Enter your Google API Key and click the OK button.
This should allow you to use Google Translate within Trados Studio 2024. If you encounter any issues, please let me know. I'm here to assist you!
Best regards,

This answer from the Community AI is nonsense. We no longer support the MT Enhanced plugin as we separated them (Google and Microsoft) into separate apps so we could properly support the enhanced capabilities that each provider offer today. They are no longer only an API key and away you go!
The answer to your problems here are exactly as I mentioned above.

Google Translate Provider has now officially been released for Trados Studio 2022 and Trados Studio 2024.
Please uninstall any old versions and reinstall from either RWS AppStore or the Integrated AppStore
