Google translate and Scottish Gaelic - "one or more language pairs might not be fully supported or the language code was not set"

Hi everybody!

This is my first post here so please be nice to me Slight smile

I've been using Trados 2017 for many years for translating from English to Scottish Gaelic and have just bought Trados 2024 and am trying to get started. (Trados Studio 2024 - 18.0.1.2259)

I have been having trouble setting up Google Translate for Trados 2024. (I had no trouble using it with Trados 2017.)

I have installed the Google Cloud Translate Provider plug-in and entered my API key. I get the following error message from the plugin.

Error dialog box titled 'Invalid language pair' with a warning message about unsupported language pairs and instructions to set a valid language code.

When I click on the Language Mapping button, I get the following. While I can select Scottish Gaelic, however, the Apply button is greyed out and right clicking on my mouse doesn't bring up anything either.

Google Cloud Translation Provider window showing a list of languages with their regions, Trados codes, and language codes, with Scottish Gaelic highlighted.

Does anybody know what I can do to set the language mapping or to get it to work otherwise?

If I've posted this to the wrong place, do let me know where I should put it.

Tapadh leibh,

Alasdair
