That's interesting, because I recently installed the updated Trados Business Manager, which is compatible with Trados Studio 2024.

I think it would be worth clarifying this because on the face of I'm a bit confused. Trados Business Manager (TBM) has reached end of life. Following the discontinuation of TBM sales on 31 October 2023, all maintenance and support services concluded on 31 October 2024 which means:

• End of Services: RWS will no longer provide any services related to the installation or updating of TBM.
• Existing Installations: TBM will remain functional where already installed, but the RWS support team will not offer assistance in troubleshooting issues, addressing reported problems, or providing further development for TBM.
• Documentation: The TBM documentation has been removed from docs.rws.com.
• Community Support: The community forum for TBM will remain accessible in a read-only format for users to reference if needed.

It also meant that there was no update to TBM to specifically support 2024.

So, did you mean that you can work with the files and projects etc. in 2024... which is quite likely, as opposed to saying that we released a version of TBM for 2024?  Because we didn't!  Trados Studio 2024 was released in June 2024 after the sales of TBM ended and just a few months before it was retired.

Or did you mean you installed the Lite version which is a plugin?  That is a separate tool, provided free of charge, and we decided to update it as it's a standalone tool that works for Studio users and was never supported anyway.

Well, as a new Trados user (less than a year), I initially found that the TBM plugin only supported older Trados Studio versions. However, when I checked again later, a new compatible version was available for Trados Studio 2024. Are you planning to offer an alternative plugin?

Alternative to what?  The connector was only useful for TBM and if we discontinued TBM what exactly are you expecting?

I installed TBM Light for Trados Studio. Initially, it wasn't available for the 2024 version, but a new release was soon available. However, I discovered that the Connector is necessary to fully utilize its features.

Incorrect... unless you hare TBM, as in the full blown Trados Business Management application.  The connector is only used to connect to that.  NOte this in the description:

"The connector will not do anything for you unless you have Trados Business Manager installed as well."

Why do you think you need this?
