[Trados 2024] DeepL translation provider could not be opened and has been disabled

When I run DeepL translation provider to use MT in Trados 2024, it is not activated with the message below.

Error message in a software application, warning icon visible, text in Korean, with a confirmation button.
"DeepL translation provider could not be opened and has been disabled"

  • Updated the plugin to the latest version(7.0.6.1) and the issue still occurs.
  • Deleting and re-installing the plugin didn't work
  • I have a valid deepL API key.
  • The issue does not occur in other users' places.

Considering reinstalling Trados Studio after disabling UAC, and will let you know if this resolves the issue.

  • Hi  ,

    Did the last workaround  work?

Considering reinstalling Trados Studio after disabling UAC, and will let you know if this resolves the issue.

If not, I'm thinking of the following as well:

    - please check and ensure you don't use a template to create your projects -

    - go to File tab - top left corner - >Options>check that you don't have it enabled in all language pairs OR at any given language pair specific

    - create a new project from scratch and add it during project creation

    - create a single file project and add the provider

What happens after you add it again in the project? Does it still give you the same message and remains disabled?

    Regards,

    Oana
