Trados Studio 2024 does not open after installing Antidote Plugin 4.0.3.3

Hello

I installed and activated Trados Studio 2024 on a user's computer.

It worked ok, then I installed the Antidote plugin ver 4.0.3.3 from the RWS appstore.

Trados Studio will go through the first part of setup, where it creates a default profile, then nothing.

Tried renaming the following files and restarting Trados but no change:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18\BaseSettings.xml
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18\Plugincache.xml
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18\UserSettings.xml

No change after I uninstalled Trados Studio, deleted the C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18 folder, restarted the computer and then reinstalled Trados 2024.

Used C:\Program Files (x86)\Trados\Plugin installer\Sdl.Community.SdlPluginInstaller.exe to uninstall the plugin but no change.

The user requires Trados Studio with Antidote in order to perform his job function - any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Are you still experiencing the issue with Antidote installed? Could you let me know which version of Antidote you are using?

    Please follow these steps to troubleshoot:

    1. Remove the Antidote plugin from the following locations:

      • %APPDATA%\Trados\Trados Studio\18\Plugins
      • %LOCALAPPDATA%\Trados\Trados Studio\18\Plugins
      • C:\ProgramData\Trados\Trados Studio\18\Plugins
    2. After removing the plugin, verify that Studio launches correctly.

    3. Ensure Antidote and its components are fully installed and that no conflicts occurred during the installation process.

    4. Open Studio and reinstall the Antidote plugin via the integrated AppStore (accessible from the top-left corner of Studio).

    5. Relaunch Studio and check if the issue is resolved.
